Chris Caldwell

Originally from Montana, Chris has lived in Whatcom County for 30 years and been the Director of Sales & Marketing at The Chrysalis Inn & Spa in Fairhaven for 10 years. This is her 4th year on the Fairhaven Assn board, her 3rd year leading the Dirty Dan Murder Mystery event committee, and she spent 8 years on the Marketing committee. She loves connecting with association members, promoting the Village to visitors, and providing opportunities for collaboration to make Fairhaven Village the special place that it is. When not at The Chrysalis or FA, Chris enjoys reading, hiking, golfing, trying new recipes, exploring new places, and spending time with family and friends, especially lake days and game nights! She welcomes questions about the Fairhaven Association at president@enjoyfairhaven.com.

Vice President

Marissa Powell

As a proud native of Whatcom County, Marissa is grateful for the opportunity to both work and play in beautiful Fairhaven. Throughout her 9+ years at the Fairhaven Peoples Bank, where she currently serve as Branch Manager, Marissa has always had a deep appreciation for the strong sense of connection and community spirit that lives here. When she’s not working or helping with the Fairhaven Association, you can find her enjoying the outdoors with her husband, playing tennis and pickleball, or burying herself in a good book.

Treasurer

Sarah Woelkers-Prescott

Sarah works alongside her husband, Jason, at Fairhaven Gold. They purchased the business from the previous owner in 2020. Prior to coming to work with Jason in 2022, Sarah worked in Healthcare Supply Chain management.  Sarah is currently working towards attaining her GIA Graduate Gemologist certification in order to further enhance her family business.  She loves spending time in Fairhaven with her young son and daughter, and dog Chai. Sarah feels the Fairhaven community is very supportive and that being a member of the Board has provided an opportunity to get involved and be a more active member.

Traci Bjorklund

Traci's draw to become a Fairhaven Association board member came from a personal relationship with this special community. After enjoying Fairhaven as a resident of the area and business owner for many years, her desire is to help continue the benefits and good the Association has provided Fairhaven. You can find Traci in one of many ways in Fairhaven – dining, shopping, meeting friends for coffee or happy hour, at her Edward Jones office, or getting her steps in on a daily walk along Taylor Dock. If you see her out and about, be sure to say hi!

Tim Anderson

Tim moved to Bellingham in 2010 after living in San Diego for 23 years. The consistent weather of 75 and sunny got to be too much. The draw of Bellingham was more for his wife Michele who had grown up in Bellingham, gone to the local schools, and graduated from WWU. She is now in her 10th year of working there. Tim is in his 37th year of the financial services business with Ameriprise Financial. When not working, he enjoys playing tennis and golf and, of course, volunteering on the Fairhaven Association Board. Together they have one son Brady who lives and works in Seattle.
Amber Machin

Amber Machin

Amber is a pediatrician in Fairhaven, opening her practice in October of 2022. She’s been a pediatrician for 12 years, with 8 years working in the Emergency Department at a level 1 trauma center in Texas. She and her husband always had Bellingham on their radar and were finally able to make the move happen 3 years ago. They also took a leap of faith when they both opened their own businesses, Fairhaven Coffee and Fairhaven Pediatrics. They absolutely love being a part of the Fairhaven community, as it feels like home. Fairhaven fosters strong social connections and a supportive network of local businesses. With its unique character and charm, there really is no other neighborhood like it. Amber is so proud to be a resident of this historic area.

Kelly Evert

I'm a 1993 graduate of Western Washington University and one of the co-owners of Village Books and Paper Dreams in Bellingham and in Lynden. I have an awesome daughter, Madeline, who is a graduate of Sehome High - class of 2016. If I'm not at the store, you will find me either on a bike on Galbraith, on a hiking trail, or playing music with the Skagit Symphony. I adore Fairhaven and want the best for our village and those that work and live here.
