Water Conservation & Irrigation Workshop

Even here in the rainy Pacific Northwest, water is a precious resource. This workshop will cover the basics of water–wise gardening for ornamental and vegetable gardens, including knowing how much to water to use, and when to promote plant growth and maintain the right levels of moisture for the soil. There will be an overview of how to design and install a water–smart drip irrigation system and a hands–on activity with irrigation hardware. We will explore the use of rain catchment systems and water distribution from natural sources.
