Meet your party at one of Historic Fairhaven’s many coffee shops to start your day with a coffee and pastry: Harris Avenue Café & Tony’s Coffee, Café Blue, Iron Rooster Bakery. (Don’t worry about choosing, you can try another one for an afternoon pick-me-up!) If juice is more your thing, try Big Love Juice.

Get Active

Stop by Bay to Baker Trading Company for some souvenirs and the Fairhaven Visitor Information Center. Before you hit the trail, pick up some new running gear at Fairhaven Runners. If you’re a cyclist, Fairhaven Bicycles is your stop. Only need a rental? Check out Bellingham Electric Bike.

Then, enjoy the boardwalk and views as you head down to Boulevard Park, or Marine Park. There are trails for every level!  

Returning to Fairhaven, stop for breakfast at Colophon Café or Skylark’s Hidden Café.

Now it’s time to hit the stores to find some of the unique clothes, art, and more that give Fairhaven so much character. There are so many options!

Shop for the latest styles at Seasons Fashions, Southside Trends, Posh Upscale Resale, Blue Horizon, Three French Hens, and Serendipity. Accessorize with jewelry from Whimsey, Jewelry Affair, The Silvery Moon, and don’t forget your feet – find a fabulous pair for them at 12th Street Shoes. 

Historic Fairhaven is known for its creativity and dense offerings of art. Tour the local shops and meet the artisans at Artwood Gallery, Good Earth Pottery, Peter James Studio, Uptown Art, Whatcom Art Market, Morgan Block Art Studios & Galleries, Renaissance Celebration, and Scott Ward Art.

Need to grab something for the kiddos? Fairhaven Toy Garden is a great place to find things that will inspire at any age!

Finally, pick up some flowers for your hosts from A Lot of Flowers or Rebecca’s Flower Shop.

Sweets & Services

After all that shopping, try lunch at Avenue Bread, Zane Burger, or Fairhaven Poke.

Take a sweet treat to go from Acme Ice Cream Café, Evolve Chocolate, Sirena Gelato or Sweet Bellingham or savory at Drizzle Tasting Room. Now, it’s time to relax into one of our many services. Get a massage at Advanced Medical Massage or Healing Hands, enjoy the day spa at Shibumi Spa, or pamper yourself at Studio 910.

Dinner & Drinks

Hit Happy Hour at Swim Club or (and!) Stone’s Throw Brewery. Head to a delicious dinner with a view at Keenan’s at the Pier, grab a burger at the Filling Station, spice it up at Jalapeno’s Mexican Grill, and find your new favorite slice at FatPie Pizza, or Fairhaven Pizza.

End the day with wine at Gainsbarre Vin Naturel or Bellingham’s Best Cocktail at Galloway’s Cocktail Bar, and perhaps check out one of the many events on offer at Village Books, Bellingham TheaterWorks or Firehouse Arts.
